The Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees has appointed two new members: Fred Seigel, president and CEO of Beacon Capital Partners, and Gina A. Luna, founding partner of Genesis Park Capital Partners, LP.
Fred Seigel is based in Boston and leads Beacon Capital Partners. Before joining Beacon in 2001, he worked as managing director at Latona Associates, Inc., a private merchant bank. He also founded and served as president and director of Energy Capital Partners.
Gina A. Luna is an investor and civic leader who helped establish GP Capital, a private credit and equity fund focused on lower middle-market companies. She serves on the boards of Roku, Inc., a streaming service company, and Tetra Technologies, which specializes in chemicals and energy services. Luna is also on the boards of Houston Trust Company and Complete Intelligence.
“The board has selected two talented and visionary trustees who have strong ties to Baylor College of Medicine,” said Dr. Paul Klotman, president, CEO and executive dean of the College. “Fred currently serves on the Baylor College of Medicine Advisory Board and Gina previously served as a Baylor College of Medicine trustee.”
Luna is involved with several organizations beyond her new trustee role. She is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’s Houston Branch and serves as a trustee for both the Texas A&M Foundation and The Welch Foundation. Previously, she was on the St. Luke’s Health System board from 2019 to 2023.
Seigel holds positions on the boards for the National Institutes of Health Foundation and Camp Harbor View. He is also affiliated with the Real Estate Roundtable.
