Tinnitus UK announces ‘Quiet Night Out’ focused on safe listening during Tinnitus Week 2026

Tinnitus UK has announced an event called "Quiet Night Out" that will take place at London's Union Chapel on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The event is scheduled during Tinnitus Week 2026 and aims to promote hearing health.

The evening will feature a variety of performances, including music, spoken word, and comedy. Genres represented include folk, indie, rock, experimental soundscapes, storytelling, and stand-up comedy. All acts will perform at controlled sound levels to ensure comfort for attendees with tinnitus, hyperacusis, or general sound sensitivity.

According to Tinnitus UK, "'Quiet Night Out' will bring together an eclectic line-up spanning folk, indie, rock, experimental soundscapes, storytelling and stand-up comedy; all performed at carefully-controlled sound levels to ensure a comfortable experience for people living with tinnitus, hyperacusis or general sound sensitivity."

The organizers state that the event follows the World Health Organisation’s Global Standard for Safe Listening at Venues and Events. Sound engineering and acoustics have been designed to provide high-quality performances without compromising hearing wellness. Insights from Tinnitus UK's recent report "Amplifying Awareness," which surveyed live music fans and industry professionals about hearing health practices in the sector, have informed the event's approach.

As part of their commitment to safe listening practices, every ticket includes a complimentary pair of ACS Pacato 16 high-fidelity earplugs provided by sponsor ACS Custom.

Tinnitus UK describes itself as "an independent charity dedicated to providing information and support for individuals living with tinnitus in the United Kingdom." The organization offers various support options such as online and in-person groups as well as a helpline.
