The minimally invasive balloon sinuplasty is a revolutionary procedure that can treat a patient's sinusitis right in the office. Randie Taylor, a Columbia Breathe Free patient, said in a Facebook video that every aspect of his life improved after receiving the procedure.

"When I decided to have this procedure done, within 72 hours, my life had changed," Taylor said. "It completely changed everything, I could breathe; I could sleep; I felt better; my smell and taste came back, just everything improved. When I say it changed life, that's not exaggeration."

In the Facebook video, Taylor mentioned his daughter let him know everything about him had changed. He listed his improvements as looking better, sounding better, talking better and his mood being better. He described the procedure as life changing and one of the best things he's ever had done.

Taylor's procedure only lasted about 30 minutes, and he had no pain at all, according to the video. He was back to his normal activities only two days later, after one day of relaxing just to be safe.

Balloon sinuplasty is a safe and minimally invasive procedure utilized by surgeons to address chronic sinusitis, according to Nuffield Health. During the process, doctors insert a guide wire equipped with a small balloon into the nostrils and navigate it to the area of blockage. The balloon is gently inflated enough to open the sinuses. They described the number of patients who benefited from the procedure to be tens of thousands, and patients of all ages can benefit.

Columbia Breathe Free is located in Lexington, S.C. and its board-certified ENT physician is Dr. Andy Wells, according to the website. Wells has more than two decades of experience with treating ear, nose and throat conditions.
