The Front Royal treatment center, SaVida's eighth and second in Virginia, offers a wholistic approach to care including counseling, recovery support services, and medical care delivered by licensed clinical professionals. In order to assist patients in recovery, the center's doctors and nurse practitioners prescribe and carefully manage FDA approved medications, e.g. buprenorphine and naltrexone (common brand names Suboxone, Sublocade and Vivitrol). This integrated approach to treatment is widely accepted as the most effective form of outpatient treatment for opioid and alcohol addiction today. The center has been certified by the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance (Virginia'sMedicaid Program) as a preferred office-based opioid treatment (POBOT) provider.
"The opioid epidemic has impacted families all over this country and in the Shenandoah Valley," said Tom Purkins, vice president and general manager of SaVida's Mid-Atlantic region. "Unfortunately, misinformation and inadequate access to legitimate treatment options continue to be barriers to recovery for many. As such, we couldn't be more pleased to bring SaVida's unique care model to Front Royal and to serve those struggling with addiction here in the Northern Shenandoah Valley and surrounding communities."
