Professor at Baylor College: 'Remember, no one can look out for you like you can for yourself' when it comes to burnout symptoms

Dr. Eric Storch, a professor of psychology at Baylor College of Medicine Academy at Ryan, emphasizes the critical need to comprehend burnout. He elucidates that it is not the outcome of one specific factor, but we must remain vigilant about its potential triggers.

"Burnout is not a result of one singular thing," said Eric Storch, Professor of Physchology at Baylor, according to Baylor College of Medicine. "Work, familial responsibilities and everyday stressors can all contribute to a sense of depleting motivation. Remember, no one can look out for you like you can for yourself."

According to Baylor College of Medicine, mental health should be given paramount importance. Triggers for burnout may encompass stress in the workplace, familial responsibilities, and everyday stressors, all of which can precipitate various forms of burnout. Symptoms may range from tenseness and difficulty sleeping or relaxing to overall fatigue.

Baylor College of Medicine states that Dr. Storch is a professional clinical psychologist who received his PhD from Columbia University. He has been honored with the Champion of Peace Award and has particular interests in several areas including misophonia, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, hoarding disorder among others.
