University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital and Health Sciences issued the following announcement on April 13.
The future of health begins with YOU! The mission of the All of Us Research Program is simple: we want to speed up health research and medical breakthroughs.
Precision medicine is healthcare that is based on each individual. The goal of All of Us is to advance precision medicine. Precision medicine focuses on the power of three: the differences in our environment, lifestyle, and biology. By studying these differences, researchers may find patterns that can help improve health for everyone.
Currently, our healthcare is often one-size-fits-all, but imagine a future where your health treatments are tailored toward you.
To get there, we need to create a large health database. By understanding people's health, neighborhood, family, and lifestyle, researchers will have information to better understand health and disease. This information is essential to create a healthier future for generations to come.
The All of Us Research Program is calling on volunteers like you. Volunteers' health data will be added to the All of UsResearch Program database, which researchers can access to conduct studies.
Why should I join?
You'll contribute to research that may improve health for generations to come. There's no one exactly like you, and your unique health data may help researchers find the next big medical breakthrough.
