University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Jameson has new outpatient facility

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Jameson hospital launched a new facility in New Castle where those who need medical care but do not need to be hospitalized on July 31.

The Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Jameson and the UPMC Esophageal and Lung Surgery Institute at UPMC Jameson are part of this outpatient facility, which also serves as a place for those who need care to be enrolled, as well as a place for people to get scans, have their diseases and conditions identified and to get shots, a press release said.

UPMC Jameson also had its outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation center remodeled and created a space at this new facility for its UPMC Center for Wound Healing Services, which it moved out of its South Campus.

From the time that UPMC and Jameson combined services, UPMC has put in over $31 million to improve its buildings and services.
