OneTouch Reveal mobile app displays blood sugar readings, shares with health care teams

Patients that are using Lifescan, Inc.'s OneTouch Reveal mobile app to help manage their diabetes are now able to view their blood sugar readings directly on their iPhones and, if they so choose, share those readings -- in a private and secure manner -- with various members of their health care teams.

“For the nearly 400 million people worldwide living with diabetes, management needs to be approached holistically -- looking not only at blood glucose levels, but also insights gleaned from how factors like diet and exercise, as well as insulin and other medications impact individual treatment regimens," Dr. Brian Levy, Lifescan's chief medical officer, said. "The only way this can be done successfully is by allowing patients to gather, combine and share their data in ways that are easier and more intuitive for them.”

Users of the OneTouch Verio Sync meter can wirelessly sync their data to the OneTouch Reveal mobile app; from there it can be accessed across multiple devices.

Lifescan, Inc., is a member of the Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Solutions Companies.
