Nine life sciences companies hiring across Pennsylvania amid job growth

Pennsylvania's life sciences sector continues to see growth, with more than 1,200 establishments operating in the Greater Philadelphia area, according to the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia. Major companies such as AstraZeneca, GSK, and Johnson & Johnson have a presence in the region.

Eli Lilly recently announced plans to build a manufacturing facility for injectable weight-loss therapies in Lehigh Valley. The company expects the site to employ approximately 850 people and become operational by 2031.

BioSpace data shows that employment opportunities in Pennsylvania are on the rise. Job postings on BioSpace for positions in the state increased by 32% year over year in January.

Several pharmaceutical and biotech companies are currently hiring for various roles across Pennsylvania:

AbbVie is seeking an MSL/senior MSL specializing in dermatology in Pittsburgh and a national sales manager for specialty eye care in Philadelphia.

Amgen has multiple sales positions open, including district sales manager-primary care in Philadelphia, patient access liaison-Krystexxa in Pittsburgh, and specialty account manager-neuroimmunology (rare disease) in Allentown.

CSL is recruiting for about 20 roles based in King of Prussia, such as director of epidemiology, principal statistician, and director-clinical operations lead.

Eli Lilly has over a dozen openings. Available jobs include scientist-imaging research and development in Philadelphia; pharmaceutical sales-territory manager-neuroscience specialty in West Chester; and manager-CMC operations also located in Philadelphia.

Legend Biotech is looking to fill around twelve positions at its Philadelphia location. Openings include senior scientist, lab manager, and executive director-toxicology.

Lundbeck seeks candidates for several sales roles: psychiatry account manager in Allentown; multispecialty account managers for State College and Pittsburgh; and biopharmaceutical account manager based out of Scranton.

Ocugen has several available positions at its Malvern office. These include associate director of regulatory affairs-gene therapy, senior document control specialist, and principal clinical data manager.

Resilience is hiring three professionals at its East Norriton site: senior specialist-quality assurance; senior facilities engineer; and director-quality control-microbiology.

Syner-G has openings for two validation engineers as well as a senior validation engineer—all located in Pittsburgh.

The increase in job postings reflects broader trends within Pennsylvania’s life sciences market.
