On February 22, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center will open its new University Hospital. The facility features private patient rooms with views of Columbus and Ohio Stadium. Each room is equipped with a 75-inch screen that provides educational videos for patients, displays care team member information, and allows remote consultations by doctors at any time.
The hospital offers on-demand bedside meal ordering from a modern kitchen designed to deliver fresh food quickly throughout the building. In-room furniture can be converted into beds to accommodate extended visits from family members.
The new building stands 26 stories tall and contains 820 patient rooms.
