Schweta Arakali, MD, has joined Specialty Physician Partners at their Easton, Pennsylvania location. Dr. Arakali completed her Allergy Immunology Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She also finished her Internal Medicine Residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She holds dual board certifications in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology. Her medical degree is from Jefferson Medical College, now Sydney Kimmel Medical College.
Dr. Arakali treats both adults and children for a variety of conditions including allergic and non-allergic asthma, nasal and eye allergies, exercise-induced asthma, sinusitis, food allergies, pet allergies, skin conditions such as eczema and hives, insect sting reactions, drug allergies, and immunodeficiencies.
During her fellowship training, Dr. Arakali focused on tree nut allergies and food allergies in South Asian populations. She has presented research at national meetings organized by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI). She is also first author on a peer-reviewed article about food allergy published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
Dr. Arakali grew up in Upper Macungie and expressed enthusiasm about working near her hometown. Outside work she spends time with family as well as her husband and miniature poodle Elsa.
