We are very grateful for his many contributions.” He added that the retirement was planned together with Dr. Klotman and expressed confidence in finding a successor who will continue to advance the institution.

The people are the strength of this institution, and they will continue to chart its success.”
After nearly five decades in leadership positions at institutions including Baylor College of Medicine, Duke University School of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Klotman said he looks forward to focusing on business interests after retirement.
