Healthcare professionals recognized at National Breathe Free conference for outstanding dedication

National Breathe Free recently announced awards honoring clinicians and operations leaders for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to patient care. The announcement was made at a conference on March 16, highlighting the organization's ongoing efforts to advance sinus treatment.

At the 2025 National Breathe Free Conference in Las Vegas, McKenna Leonard received the "Max Effort" award for consistently going above and beyond. Maria Rojas earned the "Heart & Hustle" award for her unwavering passion, energy, and perseverance. Stephen M. Bane, MD, was recognized with the "Above & Beyond" award for routinely exceeding expectations and stepping up wherever needed. These awards celebrate individuals who embody the organization’s high standards for clinical excellence and commitment to patient well-being.

Mary Romney, PA-C, was honored with the "Extreme Ownership" award for consistently delivering on responsibilities with integrity and accountability. Andrew Ghanem received the "Integrity" award, reflecting his dedication to doing the right thing in every decision. According to National Breathe Free, these acknowledgments underscore its values-driven approach to healthcare leadership.

Nancy Higbee, ANP-C, earned the "Compassion" award for treating every patient encounter with empathy and kindness. Jennifer Wasalaski was named "Rookie of the Year" for making a significant impact in her early tenure through hard work and dedication. These awards affirm National Breathe Free’s focus on both emotional intelligence in care and the development of future clinical leaders.

Lukas Williams, PA-C, received the "Commitment" award for his ongoing efforts in patient education and experience. James Osborne, DO, FACOOS, was recognized with the "Gratitude" award for his heartfelt contributions to patient care and service. Diana Ruiloba, PA-C, was honored with the "Lauren Campbell" award as a standout mentor, while Orlando Vargas was presented with the "Jack Matthews" award for his extraordinary work ethic and drive. Together, these awards represent the diverse strengths that define National Breathe Free’s care model.

Speaking at the National Breathe Free Conference in Las Vegas, founder Matthew Ghanem highlighted the organization’s mission to serve nearly 30 million Americans suffering from sinusitis. He said: "With nearly 30 million patients suffering with sinusitis, we are well-positioned to serve these patients," underscoring increasing awareness of the link between nasal breathing and overall health. National Breathe Free has established multiple centers across the United States to address growing demand for effective in-office sinus treatments. By offering personalized care plans and advanced procedures, it aims to provide long-term relief for patients suffering from chronic sinus issues.
