Bridgeport Hospital announced on March 17 that registration is now open for the Milford Campus Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K Fitness Walk, and Kid’s Fun Run, scheduled for Sunday, May 10. The event will begin at 7:45 a.m. and offers activities for all ages, with support from presenting sponsor Dillon’s Services of Shelton.
The annual event aims to bring together families and community members while raising funds to support patients and services at Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus. Organizers say the event includes a timed 5K run and walk, a 3K fitness walk, and a Kid’s Fun Run for children aged nine and under. Both the 5K and 3K courses start and finish near the hospital campus along Seaside Avenue.
After completing their races or walks, participants are invited to stay for music, light refreshments, race announcements, and awards. Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners in each age group as well as special prizes for the fastest mother-daughter and mother-son teams.
Registration fees are $40 for adults aged nineteen and older until May 3, $20 for students aged ten to eighteen, while children nine years old or younger can participate free of charge.
