Alive Credit Union sponsors Jacksonville Fight For Air Climb on March 22

The American Lung Association has announced that Alive Credit Union will be the Presenting Sponsor for the 17th annual Jacksonville Fight For Air Climb. The event, which is a stair-climbing fundraiser, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 22, at the Bank of America Tower in Jacksonville.

Alive Credit Union's sponsorship reflects its commitment to lung health and support for the North Florida community. "We are proud to deepen our long-time partnership with the American Lung Association on this fantastic event that supports healthy lungs and clean air for all," stated Christian Pagan, vice president of marketing at Alive Credit Union. He emphasized the impact of participation: "We believe that everyone can make a difference, and participating in the Jacksonville Fight For Air Climb saves lives. You can directly fund research into treatments and cures, programs and services for people living with lung disease."

The climb will feature hundreds of participants ascending to the top floor of Jacksonville's tallest skyscraper while raising awareness and funds for those affected by lung disease. According to organizers, 90 cents of every dollar raised will support the Lung Association’s mission to eliminate lung cancer and lung disease.

The event is open to individuals of all fitness levels, including beginners, seasoned climbers, firefighters, and first responders. Participants can choose their pace as they tackle 734 stairs across 37 stories. Pagan encouraged community involvement: “We’re encouraging our community to meet us on the stairs and register today at ClimbJax.org.”

Residents from North Florida are invited to join Alive Credit Union in this initiative by forming teams or registering individually. Registration costs $35 with a fundraising minimum of $100 required per participant. Further details and registration information are available at ClimbJax.org.
