Gale Healthcare Solutions gets $60 million investment to connect ‘the largest network of nurses in the U.S.’

A Florida-based health care solutions company continues to grow with nearly 40,000 nurses and a $60 million equity investment from FTV Capital.

Since its establishment in 2016, Gale Healthcare Solutions has been connecting nurses to different medical facilities and has been solely self-funded, until it was able to secure a growth equity investment from the capital firm.

“They have arguably the largest network of nurses in the United States for this for this type of platform,” Richard Liu, a partner at FTV Capital, told TechCrunch.

The investment will facilitate Gale to expand its health care technology and payments platform that supports the nurses and over 10 million hours of patient care. A hospital or clinic posts available shifts, and nurses can view the jobs, claim them and be paid the same day.

Studies from the U.S. and Korea have associated adequate nursing staff with better patient outcomes.

The nurses at Gale are W-2 employees with the option of a health care benefits package, and the company is currently considering creating a better gig opportunity that offers certain perks, TechCrunch reported.
