The American Lung Association in New York welcomed Cipla as a partner for the third consecutive year at the LUNG FORCE Walk New York City. This year, Cipla participated as the Breathe Free Sponsor and led the largest team in the walk's history, with 108 walkers raising over $10,000. The event took place on May 17 at South Street Seaport’s Pier 16, attracting more than 1,100 participants across 105 teams and raising over $272,000 for lung health research and advocacy.
Cipla has been committed to providing access to quality medications in areas such as asthma and COPD. "Cipla USA is proud to continue its partnership with the American Lung Association for the LUNG FORCE Walk NYC," said Marc Falkin, CEO of Cipla North America. He emphasized the importance of community education and research in improving respiratory health.
Erica Masin, Executive Director of the American Lung Association in Metro New York, expressed gratitude towards Cipla: “We’re incredibly grateful to Cipla for their continued partnership and for leading the largest team in Walk NYC history.”
The event featured scenic walk routes along the East River and included an opening ceremony with LUNG FORCE Heroes. Funds raised will support efforts against lung cancer and chronic lung diseases while promoting cleaner air nationwide.
