Debbie's Dream Foundation 'able to overcome challenges and raise funds for a great cause' in Broward County

Debbie's Dream Foundation (DDF): Curing Stomach Cancer and Broward County Medical Association (BCMA) recently hosted their first Collaborative Golf Tournament at the Jacaranda Country Club in Plantation, Florida, according to Cision PR Newswire.

Event cochair Jonathan Perrillo attributed the success of the event to the joint efforts of DDF and BCMA in getting past any stumbling blocks related to the COVID-19 pandemic and being able to continue raising money during it.

"With joint efforts of the DDF staff, BCMA and the committee, we were able to overcome challenges from the pandemic and raise funds for a great cause," Perrillo told Cision PR Newswire. "This year was successful, but I don't doubt that next year will be the best golf tournament yet!"

Perrillo, who led this event, has previously served as founding chair of DDF's signature annual "Dream Fore A Cure" Golf Tournament for four consecutive events.

Andrea Eidelman, chief executive officer of DDF, added that the organization was pleased to collaborate with BCMA to reintroduce this event to the South Florida community following a tumultuous year amidst the global pandemic.

During the event, nearly $23,000 was raised to support DDF's goal of raising funds and advocating for stomach cancer research, as well as providing information and support to stomach cancer patients and their families around the world.

Tournament sponsors include: Florida Lemark, ProAssurance, Acevedo Consulting Inc., HITT, Lash & Goldberg LLP, Lockton, MedPro, PROFI Construction and Maintenance, Stupid Strong, Carlson Solutions, Mercer, Chick-fil-A, PGA Tour Superstore and Tito's Handmade Vodka.
