Young Globals competition offers paid internship to winning student

Abelson Taylor and The Bloc are sponsoring the fifth annual Young Globals Student Competition & Internship, which will introduce students from design and technology institutions to careers in health care communications.

This competition gives students the chance to compare their industry skills to those of their peers. The winner will receive a paid internship at a sponsoring agency, a trophy awarded at a special ceremony and a chance to exhibit their work on The Global Awards website.

The challenge for 2019 focuses on digital society—"the cognitive, developmental, emotional cost of too much screen time"—according to The Globe Awards.

The deadline for entering is March 25. Entrants must be at least 18 years old, enrolled in or recently graduated from a college-level program or portfolio school, and have never worked, including freelancing, for an advertising agency. Entrants can be individuals or teams of up to three people.

Along with their projects, students must  submit a video 30 seconds to two minutes long, answering: Why are you passionate about this issue/cause? Is it a personal connection to the issue? Have family/friends/peers been affected? Are you seeing a shift in attitudes or behaviors that’s concerning? What was your inspiration behind your idea?

Abelson Taylor is a leading health and wellness ad agency located in Chicago and The Bloc is a health and wellness agency seeking ways to improve the health industry.
