University of Utah Health named Most Wired

The American Hospital Association (AHA) recently recognized the University of Utah Health with its Most Wired award.

Through an AHA survey, the University of Utah Health was found to be ahead of other health organizations in its use of digital technology to care for and consult with people it treats, according to a press release.

The University of Utah Health joined 26 other organizations in receiving an "advanced" designation from AHA, which means it met four specific points, as well as other guidelines.

Organizations that received that designation used technology health tools to maintain contact with patients that and took advantage data-driven that supporting treatments and managing population health.

The survey, Healthcare's Most Wired, took place between Jan. 15 and March 15. Hospitals & Health Networks releases the outcomes of the survey every year. The survey finds out how health organizations are taking advantage of information technology to provide better services. This year's survey had 698 people from approximately 2,158 hospitals do the survey, the release said.
