Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center taking applications for pilot study grants

The Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center is accepting applications for its Alzheimer’s Disease Pilot Grant Program, which supports pilot testing of studies related Alzheimer's disease.

The center provides funding for research throughout the University of Wisconsin relating to Alzheimer's disease that has not been previously explored, according to a University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health release. Ideally, such research would create data for larger peer-reviewed grants.

Those who wish to apply must turn in a letter stating their areas of concentration by 4 p.m. Aug. 18. The complete application must be completed online by 4 p.m. Oct. 13.

Those who plan to apply must hold a University of Wisconsin or a VA appointment and must not have a previous award for pilot testing. Applicants can request money for no longer than a year and have a total budget of less than $30,000. The organization will not pay for expenses that are not exactly tied to the testing.
