Energy and Commerce Committee sees three bills signed into law

The U.S. Congress Energy and Commerce Committee continues to build on its success, with three of its bills recently signed into law.

The newly signed bills that became law include S. 3183, which is the Better Online Ticket Sales Act, H.R. 5111; the Consumer Review Fairness Act; and H.R. 4665, the Outdoor REC Act of 2016.

“Two more great bills are now law -- each protecting consumers,” Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade Vice Chairman Leonard Lance (R-NJ) said. “In the 21st-century economy, consumers need to be able to exercise their First Amendment rights without concern that a business will take them to court over it. The online rating and experience portal must be preserved for all consumers.”

More information on each of the bills can be found online.
