Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) recently met with Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), who is the nominee for Health and Human Services secretary.
“I spent an hour with Dr. Tom Price this afternoon and was greatly impressed with his understanding of the need to begin immediately to repeal Obamacare and reform the nation’s health care system -- but to do it in a thoughtful, careful way that gives Americans more choices of low-cost insurance,” Alexander said. “He especially understands the importance of dealing with the Obamacare emergency in the individual market during a period of transition so that Americans have as many choices as possible.”
Alexander is the chair of the Senate Health Committee, which will hold a hearing in January regarding the nomination of Price.
