Important upcoming events announced for NORD Summit

The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) recently announced the dates for important upcoming events with the organization.

Anyone interested in the NORD annual Rare Disease & Orphan Products Breakthrough Summit should register by Aug. 26. The event will take place Oct. 17-18 in Arlington, Virginia. Registering by Aug. 26 will save participants up to $400.

Post abstracts for the summit must be submitted by Aug. 19. The theme for this year’s poster session is “Life-Transforming Treatments.” The focus should be on four different topic areas: medical education advancement, innovative research, patient community building and other topics.

The NORD event is a great way to exchange research with a varied audience. It is the biggest multi-stakeholder event that happens in rare diseases. This is the ideal opportunity for scientists and researchers to develop innovative ideas to help people with rare diseases. Discussions will cover crucial issues as well as conversations to further advance progress in the fight against rare diseases.

Only a limited number of submitted abstracts will be chosen. These will receive complimentary meeting registration, where the participants and presenters can attend the entire conference; they will receive notification of their complimentary registration after their posters have been chosen.
