Boehringer Ingelheim board of managing directors introduces new member

The shareholders of Boehringer Ingelheim recently chose Simone Menne to join the board of managing directors for the Corporate Board Division Finance, beginning on Sept. 1 of this year.

Menne succeeds Hubertus von Baumbach in this position, as he is the new chairman of the board of managing directors starting on July 1.

“Ms. Simone Menne is a distinguished figure in the field of finance with many years of successful experience in Germany and abroad,” Christian Boehringer, chairman of the shareholders‘ committee, said. “Previously, she held strategic and operational responsibility in various roles. She is therefore thoroughly familiar with the key tasks and challenges faced by a multinational corporation based in Germany.”

Boehringer Ingelheim, based in Germany, is among the world’s 20 top pharmaceutical companies.

“We are delighted that Simone Menne has accepted our invitation to join the board of managing directors of Boehringer Ingelheim and, together with her colleagues, actively shape the future of our company,” Andreas Barner, current chairman of the board, said. “We have come to know Ms. Menne as someone who not only possesses considerable specialist expertise, but who is very open and respectful in her dealings with people. We believe that her experience will enrich the company.”
