DiversityComm Inc. recently listed Astellas as a leading employer in the pharmaceutical, health care and biotech industry, and Professional Woman’s Magazine named Astellas a “Best of the Best” employer.
DiversityComm focuses on progressing all different parts of employment and business to guarantee that companies are giving equal opportunities to all of their employees.
This is the second year in a row that Astellas has been chosen as a “Best of the Best” employer. Additionally, the company has received many other honors since 2015, as a variety of publications have praised the company’s culture that helps to empower female employees.
To continue these empowering and equalizing efforts, Astellas has developed a new employee resource group (ERG) called Stellar Women. The goal of the group is to be an active advocacy and support community, especially for women who work for Astellas.
In addition, in April, the Black Equal Opportunity Employment Journal honored Astellas as a leading employer -- the first time that Astellas has been included in the list. To continue this standard, the company has created its own African American ERG, creating an inclusive, diverse environment to encourage novel solutions concerning multicultural opportunities and the needs of the worldwide community.
