Representatives from health insurance provider Aetna recently announced that Aetna Whole Health Chicago will be available on Illinois' health marketplace website as well as to Illinois businesses for the 2016 health insurance open enrollment period.
Open enrollment will begin Sunday.
Aetna Whole Health Chicago, a commercial health care product, offers members access to coordinated care options that track outcomes, share data and measure clinical standards.
Aetna Whole Health Chicago will be available to individuals and businesses through Advocate Health Care’s network of 4,000 primary care physicians and specialists at 250 sites including 10 hospitals. Self-insured businesses seeking to change plans after March 1, 2016, and fully insured businesses wanting to change plans after April 1, 2016, can acquire Aetna Whole Health Chicago as of Jan. 1.
The program will be available to employers in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, Kendall, Will, Kankakee and McHenry counties, and to individual members in DuPage, Cook, Kane, Lake and McHenry counties.
