BlossomHill and Latigo file for Nasdaq IPOs as biotech public offerings surge in 2026

BlossomHill Therapeutics and Latigo Biotherapeutics filed applications on Jul. 20 to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market, joining a growing group of biotechnology companies seeking initial public offerings this year.

Both California-based firms have not disclosed how much they intend to raise or the anticipated closing dates for their offerings. Upon completion, BlossomHill will trade under the ticker BLSM, while Latigo—part of BioSpace’s NextGen Class of 2025—will use LTGO.

The first half of 2026 has seen eighteen biotechs go public, more than double last year's total of eight. If BlossomHill and Latigo complete their IPOs, the number of new biotech listings in 2026 would be the highest since over one hundred companies went public during the pandemic-driven surge in 2021. Three other companies—Braveheart Bio, Attovia Therapeutics, and Vogenx—also filed IPO plans last week but have not yet closed their offerings.

Latigo intends to use proceeds from its offering to advance its lead asset LTG-001, an orally available NaV1.8 blocker designed for moderate to severe acute pain management. The company plans a Phase 3 study in patients undergoing bunionectomy surgery and aims for a new drug application submission, according to its prospectus. Additional funds are earmarked for developing LTG-321, a next-generation NaV1.8 inhibitor intended for osteoarthritis pain that could enable lower doses due to structural differences important for chronic use.

BlossomHill focuses on cancer therapies with two clinical-stage candidates: EGFR inhibitor BH-30643 targeting mutated forms associated with non-small cell lung cancer and CLK blocker BH-30236 under evaluation for relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia. The company said it would use IPO funds to complete an ongoing Phase 1/2 study and start a Phase 2 trial for BH-30643, as well as continue development work on BH-30236.
