The British Laryngological Association will host its flagship “Cutting Edge Laryngology” meeting in September at the Royal Society of Medicine, according to a June 26 announcement. The event's programme has been organized by Chadwan Al-Yaghchi, Tori Burnay and Justin Roe and will feature a wide selection of topics such as robotics in laryngology, augmentation injection materials, dysplasia, thyroplasty and others.
Nick Gibbins, President of the British Laryngological Association, said that there is a "stellar list of speakers" for the event. Overseas faculty include Markus Hess from Germany, Peak Woo from the United States, Anthony Rotman from Australia, Teemu Kinnari from Finland, Karuna Dewan from the United States, Nikki Johnston from the United States, and Kiminori Sato from Japan.
Gibbins also said that more broadly, "the BLA continues to go from strength to strength," with an ongoing focus on international links. He highlighted that in December a delegation of BLA speakers will travel to Mumbai to participate in the 20th Workshop on Phonosurgery run by Nupur Nerurkar.
The association’s efforts reflect its commitment to both advancing laryngological practice through educational events and fostering global collaboration within the field.
