The Asthma & Allergy Friendly Certification Program partnered with the Chicago Asthma Consortium on May 21 to support a hands-on educational forum aimed at equipping community health workers in Chicago with practical asthma education tools and outreach resources, according to a June 11 announcement.
The event was designed to provide trusted resources for asthma education and outreach across the city. The forum offered participants access to information and tools intended to help them better support individuals living with asthma.
The Asthma & Allergy Friendly Certification Program is a collaboration between the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and Allergy Standards Limited. The program tests and certifies products against strict standards for suitability for people with asthma and allergies. Products that meet these standards earn the Asthma & Allergy Friendly Certification Mark.
Certified products include air cleaners, air filters, paints, bedding, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, cleaning products, flooring, and more. The program works with retailers and manufacturers to offer consumers options that promote healthier homes.
