Life sciences job postings in New Jersey increase 73% year over year

New Jersey has seen a significant rise in life sciences job opportunities, with job postings on the BioSpace website increasing by 73% year over year as of May, according to data from May 1, 2025, through May 26, 2026. More than 300 positions are currently listed for the state.

The state is home to more than 3,000 life sciences companies and hosts over 3,100 active or open clinical trials. A February Cushman & Wakefield report puts New Jersey’s life sciences employment at approximately 61,100.

Several companies are actively hiring across various locations in New Jersey. AbbVie is offering roles such as director of global regulatory strategy and senior scientific manager for Parkinson’s disease. Daiichi Sankyo has about two dozen openings including associate director of epidemiology analytics and head of global biostatistics. GenScript lists around three dozen positions such as reagent senior lab technician and warehouse specialist.

Other notable employers include Insmed with over 50 openings in Bridgewater; InVitro Cell Research seeking principal scientists for cancer early detection; Legend Biotech with around 70 jobs available; Moderna hiring for commercial operations roles in Princeton; Novo Nordisk with about 20 positions in Plainsboro; Regeneron offering roles like director of regulatory affairs strategy-oncology; Sanofi listing more than 50 jobs in Morristown including global head of clinical data and business strategy; and Tris Pharma recruiting for research scientist and packaging technician positions.

These opportunities reflect ongoing growth within New Jersey's life sciences sector.
