A free online webinar will introduce the Cancer Genome Interpreter (CGI), an advanced bioinformatics tool developed by IRB Barcelona, on March 23. The CGI-Clinics consortium, which includes European hospitals and is coordinated by IRB Barcelona, will host the workshop to showcase how this AI-powered platform can support the interpretation of tumor genomes.
The event aims to highlight the importance of translating complex cancer genomics data into actionable insights for precision oncology. By leveraging machine learning, CGI serves as a clinical decision support platform designed through collaboration with more than ten European hospitals.
The webinar, titled "Streamlining Tumor Interpretation with the Cancer Genome Interpreter (CGI)", will feature presentations from Dr. Nuria López-Bigas and Dr. Santiago Demajo of IRB Barcelona, as well as Dr. Loïc Verlingue from Centre Leon Bérard. The session will provide both practical and scientific perspectives on using CGI in clinical settings.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the science behind CGI, its potential applications in healthcare environments, and ways new hospitals or research centers can join the CGI-Clinics community. The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 9 from 14:00–15:30 CET and is open without charge.
