INTEGRA Biosciences launches competition promoting lab automation adoption

INTEGRA Biosciences has announced the launch of its Lab Evolution competition for 2026, aimed at encouraging laboratories to transition from manual pipetting to automated processes. The initiative will award one laboratory a customized introduction to automation by INTEGRA experts and offer a 50 percent discount on the company's ASSIST PLUS pipetting robot.

The company highlights that while manual workflows have long been used in scientific research, increasing demands for reproducibility, higher throughput, and improved ergonomic safety are prompting many labs to consider automation. INTEGRA's ASSIST PLUS pipetting robot is promoted as an accessible solution that can be integrated into existing laboratory protocols without the typical high costs or complexity associated with liquid handling automation.

"Step out of the Stone Age and win your first step into effortless lab automation," the company stated.

To participate in the competition, laboratories are required to complete a questionnaire provided by INTEGRA. Entrants must explain why they have not yet adopted automation and identify which features of the ASSIST PLUS would benefit their specific workflows.

Entries will be accepted until March 31, 2026. The winner is scheduled to be announced in April 2026.
