American Lung Association hosts annual LUNG FORCE Walk at Cleveland Zoo

More than 1,000 participants are expected to gather at the Cleveland Zoo this Sunday for the American Lung Association’s annual LUNG FORCE Walk. The event is designed to raise awareness about lung disease and promote clean air initiatives. Presented locally by the Cleveland Clinic, the walk invites individuals, families, and corporate teams from across Ohio to join either a 5k or 1-mile route through the zoo.

Registration for both individuals and teams is free. The event begins with check-in at 8 a.m., followed by the start of the walk at 9 a.m. Organizers note that the best time for interviews and video opportunities will be between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.

According to organizers, more than 1.8 million people in Ohio are affected by lung disease. Funds raised from this event will go toward supporting research, education, and advocacy efforts led by the American Lung Association in Ohio.
