The American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AOCOO-HNS) has announced the agenda for its 2025 Virtual Mid-Year Symposium. The event will feature Greg Caesar from Medfluence Advisors, as detailed on the official AOCOO-HNS website.
According to the announcement, the symposium is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST and will focus on 'The Business of Healthcare.' AOCOO-HNS, established in 1908, aims to advance osteopathic ophthalmology and otolaryngology through professional education and training.
Greg Caesar, MBA, COPM-C, Senior Director of Business Development at Medfluence Advisors, will deliver the opening keynote titled "Marketing in the Digital Era." He will introduce the Practice Development Pyramid framework to guide sustainable growth through branding strategies.
At 8:50 a.m., Matthew Ghanem, MBA, founder and chairman of National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers, and Christy Martin, MBA, will lead a panel discussion titled “Considering a Change? Employment, Exit or Acquisition?” The session will offer insights into career transitions across sectors such as venture capital and hospital systems.
Scott Schang, co-founder of Redefining Business Intelligence and host of RenAIssance Lab, will present “Demystifying AI in Healthcare: Ask, Learn, Apply” at 10:10 a.m. His session will explore artificial intelligence applications designed to improve clinical workflows and efficiency.
The final session at 11 a.m., led by Nora W. Perkins, MD, MBA, FACS, FAAOA, physician at Albany ENT & Allergy Services, is titled “Physician Extenders: Hiring, Training and Managing.” Perkins will discuss strategies for recruiting and managing physician extenders to enhance practice performance.
