Eddie Fisher joins national board of directors at American Lung Association

Eddie Fisher, a financial services professional with Raymond James, has been appointed to the National Board of Directors of the American Lung Association. In his new role, Fisher will provide strategic and governance oversight for the organization and continue his service on the National Investment Sub-Committee, which manages investments supporting research and programs.

“It is a great honor to expand my contributions to the American Lung Association’s mission by joining the National Board,” Fisher said. “This work is extremely close to my heart and has become my true passion in life. My father passed away from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and my mother was his caretaker. By advocating for lung health and serving the community on this scale, I am honoring their memory and legacy.”

Fisher has volunteered with the American Lung Association for nearly ten years, taking on leadership roles such as chairman of both the Southeast Regional Board and Orlando Leadership Board. He will remain involved as immediate past chairman for these boards. In 2022, he received recognition as “Southeast Region Board Member of the Year.”

“Eddie has been a critical player in deepening our impact in Florida and across the Southeast Region,” said Harold Wimmer, president and CEO of the American Lung Association. “His dedication to advancing our mission, combined with his financial acumen, will be invaluable in advancing our vision to save lives and create lung health for all.”

Fisher leads Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies at Raymond James as first vice president of investments. He has over 25 years of experience advising clients on managing wealth through tailored investment strategies.

Earlier this month, Invest in Others recognized Fisher with an honorable mention for Volunteer of the Year due to his work with the Lung Association.

Raymond James & Associates is a member of NYSE/SIPC but is not affiliated with or endorsing The American Lung Association.
