The American Lung Association in Greater Chicago, alongside the National Mother’s Day Council, is set to honor four women at the 2024 Outstanding Mother Awards. This event, presented by UChicago Medicine, will take place on November 12 and aims to highlight the roles mothers play as mentors, leaders, and caregivers while managing careers.
Among those recognized is Dr. Chase from the University of Chicago Medicine. She has held various leadership positions since joining in 2011 and has an extensive educational background with degrees from Saint Mary’s College and the University of Illinois. She resides in Chicago with her family.
Kelly Dittmann brings over 25 years of experience working with Fortune 500® companies and non-profits on growth strategies. Currently involved in developing a Net Zero Sustainability Campus, she holds degrees from Purdue University and Drake University. Dittmann lives in Barrington with her husband and son.
Anna Kooi is a partner at Wipfli leading their financial services practice. With 25 years of industry experience, she has worked with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 10 companies. Kooi lives in Naperville where she raises her four children.
Tely Nagle owns The Drake Oak Brook hotel and is known for restoring it after saving it from a Ponzi scheme. Her entrepreneurial ventures include luxury developments and a restaurant inspired by her Mexican heritage. Nagle resides in Oak Brook with her family.
The awards dinner will be held at The Ivy Room Chicago from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., celebrating these leaders while raising awareness about women's professional development and gender equality issues. Attendees will also be encouraged to pledge support for lung cancer awareness efforts, as proceeds benefit the Lung Association's initiatives against lung disease.
