Fight For Air Climb returns to Orlando in March

The American Lung Association in Florida is organizing the Fight For Air Climb Orlando at City National Bank Tower on March 8, 2025. This event aims to fund research, prevent lung disease, and save lives. The climb is presented by Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies of Raymond James and is the only competitive stair-climb event in Orlando.

Amy Carlson, the event chair and senior vice president at City National Bank, stated: “For nearly two decades, the Central Florida community has stepped up to help raise awareness and funds for family, friends and neighbors who are living with lung disease.” She invited everyone to join for an inspiring day with a shared goal of achieving a future free of lung disease and cancer.

Celebrating its 18th anniversary this year, the climb accommodates all participants from beginners to competitive climbers. It takes place at City National Bank Tower with its 25 floors and 512 steps.

Eddie Fisher from Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies expressed his commitment to lung health: “I have made lung health my mission. My father fought for every breath and passed away from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).” He emphasized their partnership with the Lung Association as a tribute to his father’s memory and support for over 3.2 million Floridians living with lung disease.

Fisher also holds positions on various boards within the Lung Association.

Participation in this event aids efforts to end lung cancer, improve air quality, reduce the burden of lung diseases on individuals and families, and promote a tobacco-free future. Stair climbing also offers health benefits such as improved balance, coordination, muscle strength, and potentially lowering mortality risk.

Registration is open for individuals or teams including friends, families, companies or organizations. More information can be found at ClimbOrlando.org.
