Cleveland’s annual LUNG FORCE Walk returns to Metro Zoo on September 29

The Cleveland community is invited to the 10th annual LUNG FORCE Walk, presented by The Cleveland Clinic Integrated Hospital Care Institute, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on September 29 at 9 a.m.

Friends and families can enjoy a fall morning walk and zoo visit for a good cause. The event supports lifesaving research, local programs, and advocacy for the 1.6 million people in Ohio suffering from lung disease.

Registration is open for the event, which welcomes hundreds of families, friends, co-workers, including lung disease survivors and loved ones. Participants will come from across the greater Cleveland area and beyond.

Participants will have the option of a 5K route through the Cleveland Zoo or a shorter 1-mile option. The Lung Association encourages participation for celebration, education, and camaraderie. Registration for individuals and teams is free, but fundraising is encouraged to support the mission of the American Lung Association. Participants will receive complimentary zoo admission and free parking if they arrive by 9:30 a.m.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2024. Check-in starts at 8 a.m., with the walk kicking off at 9 a.m., at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo located at 3900 Wildlife Way in Cleveland.

The fundraising goal for this year’s Cleveland LUNG FORCE Walk is $90,000. Funds raised will support efforts toward eliminating lung cancer and lung disease.
