Nearly 500 individuals convened at the American Lung Association in Kansas and Greater Kansas City’s annual LUNG FORCE Gala, an event presented by The Accurso Law Firm. The gala took place at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and successfully raised close to $295,000.
The event featured both a silent and live auction, with all proceeds going towards supporting lung disease and lung cancer research, as well as education initiatives. Attendees were also offered the unique opportunity to “Live like a CHIEF” through an add-on VIP Experience that provided access to the NFL Super Bowl LVIII Champions’ locker room.
Linda Crider, executive director of the Lung Association in Kansas and Greater Kansas City, expressed her gratitude for the community's support. "The funds raised will help our ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease," she said. "We are so grateful for everyone in the community who came out to support lung health."
In addition to supporting a worthy cause, participants enjoyed local cuisine, cocktails, and games. Crider noted that it was an unforgettable evening. She added that "the funds raised will help more than 374,000 people in Kansas and more than 818,000 people in Missouri living with lung disease.”
