Analysis: Three of Los Angeles area's top ENT offices and physicians, according to online reviews

Over the past decade, ENT treatments have progressed significantly. There are minimally invasive options, including a balloon sinuplasty, which doesn't require a hospital visit, and there's minimal downtime for recovery. 

Drs. Hershcovitch, Sigari, and Suh are three of the top Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) physicians in Southern California, according to a Patient Daily analysis of online reviews of ENTs with ratings of 4.5 and above.

SoCal Breathe Free and Dr. Matt Hershcovitch

SoCal Breathe Free and Dr. Matt Hershcovitch take a spot in the rankings. According to SoCal Breathe Free's website, Hershcovitch is double board-certified and fellowship-trained in both ENT and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. They list Hershcovitch's education as starting out at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he graduated with a degree in Nuclear Engineering. He pursued his medical education at the State University of New York and subsequently completed his residency training in Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He then concluded his training with an esteemed fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University.

Hershcovitch also has a facial plastic surgery office, called Dr. Matt Hershcovitch, MD Facial Plastic Surgery, according to facebydrh.com. That website notes that Dr. Hershcovitch's office offers both surgical and non-surgical facial treatments.

SoCal Breathe Free’s reviews rank high on Google, with a 4.9 average rating among over 170 reviews. Additionally, Hershcovitch has a 4.67 average rating on Zocdoc

DelRey MD and Dr. Farhad Sigari

DelRey MD and Dr. Farhad Sigari also took a position in the rankings. Dr. Farhad Sigari is board certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology, according to DelRey MD's website. They noted that Sigari has a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from the University of California San Diego, where he gained recognition for his research in the domain of heart disease. Following this, Sigari pursued further education at Chicago Medical School, where he achieved degrees in medicine, applied physiology, and pathology. His honors from this school are listed as the Dean's Award and the Alpha Omega Alpha award. Subsequently, Dr. Sigari underwent his surgical intern training at the University of Chicago Hospital, specializing in otolaryngology and head/neck surgery. They mentioned that he also completed training by the pediatric head/neck surgeons at Chicago’s Comer Children's Hospital. During the same time, he published various papers and performed scientific presentations at the national and international level

Sigari has high reviews across multiple different websites. He averages 5 stars on U.S. News' site, and has a 4.8 on Zocdoc

UCLA Health and Dr. Jeffrey Suh

Dr. Jeffrey Suh of UCLA Health is another top ranked ENT surgeon in the Los Angeles area, and also board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, according to UCLA Health. They mention that he earned his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine in 2003 and then successfully finished his Otolaryngology residency at UCLA. After completing his residency training, Suh went on to pursue a fellowship in rhinology and skull base surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. His titles are listed as Professor of Clinical Head & Neck Surgery of David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Attending Surgeon of Division of Head & Neck Surgery of Veterans Affairs (VA) of the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, and Surgeon for Operation Mend.

Suh's reviews consist of a strong average of 4.5 stars on WebMD, and 4 stars on U.S. News, with close to 100 reviews.
