An American drugstore chain and health care company is optimistic about sales growth, alongside its plans to add home health care options and other services at its pharmacies.
In keeping with its goal to provide more affordable and convenient health care to consumers, CVS Health will be expanding its services at drugstores, adding new health products and subscription models. It is also considering bringing its services into consumers’ homes.
“Mental health is an unmet need, and it is clearly one of the biggest collateral damages of the pandemic,” CVS Health CEO Karen Lynch told CNBC.
CVS' pandemic-related services have attracted more than 32 million new customers, CNBC reported. As of November, the health care company has administered over 50 million COVID-19 vaccines and approximately 29 million tests.
CVS wants more people to come to its stores for primary care, including routine checkups with a doctor or nurse practitioner. It is “reimagining CVS locations as health care destinations,” Lynch added, according to CNBC.
