Health care providers receive glowing reviews from patients

Patients are singing the praises of health care providers in the wake of COVID-19.

Harvard Business Review announced that patients are reporting an increase in their rating of care received. From February to March 2020 there was a 1.6% increase based on a survey of 238,601 patients in the U.S.

Previously, the overall rating increase for a year was 1%.

States that were in hotspots for the virus experienced even higher rates of satisfaction with Washington seeing a 4.3% increase and New York experiencing a 13.2% increase. New York’s rating is surprising given the fact that New York residents are known for being critical of the care they are given.

Human interaction ratings improved as well, as patients felt that they were being given the compassionate care and information they needed in an uncertain time.

Health care providers should feel encouraged by their ability to continue to provide superb care to their patients even when they are in particularly stressful situations.
