Postdoctoral trainees wanted for Washington University obesity, cardiovascular disease program

Trainees are being sought for a National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute-funded T32 training grant program in obesity and cardiovascular disease at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Transdisciplinary postdoctoral trainees will work as independent scientists in the areas of cardiovascular disease and obesity to gain the skills needed to work on research teams, according to a release.

Trainees will also be paired with mentors from highly qualified senior obesity and cardiovascular disease researchers which will help to complement the training and experience of the trainees. Participants will also receive training in the ethical and social areas of obesity and cardiovascular disease research and educating the public, especially those who are most vulnerable to the diseases, the release said.
