Novo Nordisk offers aid, collects donations for those affected by Harvey

Novo Nordisk is aiding those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, where the company established its Cities Changing Diabetes Program.

Many people affected by the storm were employees and patients of Novo Nordisk, and that has compelled the organization to take action, according to a press release.

The company said it believes that people with diabetes shouldn't have to worry about having the medications they need, especially after such a devastating natural event. Partnering with AmeriCares, Novo Nordisk is collecting donations, as well as giving their employees time off needed to recover from the storm.

Additionally, Novo Nordisk is pledging $150,000 to the Houston Health Foundation and is matching employee donations made to the American Red Cross.
