Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center included on Health Care’s Most Wired list

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, recently earned a spot on Health Forum’s 19th annual Health Care’s Most Wired list, which recognizes U.S. hospitals and health systems with the best use of information technology.

“The Most Wired hospitals are using every available technology option to create more ways to reach their patients in order to provide access to care,” American Hospital Association (AHA) President and CEO Rick Pollack said in a press release. “They are transforming care delivery, investing in new delivery models in order to improve quality, provide access and control costs.”

Health Forum, which compiles the list based on a survey, is an AHA business enterprise. This year, the survey had 989 participants who represent 2,158 health care entities, Health Forum estimates. The 2017 list incudes 461 institutions and was published in Hospitals & Health Networks magazine.
