Health care company Eisai Inc. has launched the latest edition of “Medikidz Explain Epilepsy,” the sixth in an educational series of comics.
The series is meant to help people learn about epilepsy and help kids transition to adult health care, according to a company press release.
A meet and greet was held with the Medikidz superheroes themselves, as well as the comic book’s stars, at the Eisai booth on March 25 during the annual National Walk for Epilepsy.
The “Medikidz Explain Epilepsy” series began in late 2013 to increase awareness and education about the condition. Eisai helped with development and publication of the first five editions of the comics, which are all peer reviewed by medical professionals.
