American Cancer Society and CVS Health form a 'partnership to improve lives for cancer patients'

The American Cancer Society (ACS) and CVS Health announced this week the launch of an in-store fundraising campaign at CVS Pharmacy locations across the country.

Until Saturday, July 17, CVS Pharmacy customers will be invited to round up their change or make a $1 or $3 donation at the register at any of its locations.

"Together, the American Cancer Society and CVS Health have the expertise and reach to help people in communities across the nation better understand and engage in sun safety as cancer prevention,” Karen Knudsen, CEO of the American Cancer Society, told the American Cancer Society website. “These efforts, as well as the dollars donated by CVS customers, serve as an important continuation of our partnership to improve lives for cancer patients through research, advocacy and patient support."

This is the fourth year CVS Pharmacy has hosted a national in-store fundraising campaign to support the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer, focusing specifically on skin cancer this year. The most common of all cancer types is skin cancer, according to the American Cancer Society.

The ACS and CVS Health have raised more than $15 million to help combat cancer since 2018.
