PhRMA health care dialogue series explores recent innovations

The Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturers Association's (PhRMA) recent national health care dialogue series, held Feb. 21, was the first ever by the company.

Hosted by The Atlantic, the event was part of the GOBOLDLY campaign and included three panel discussions to talk about the topics of breakthroughs in modern medicine and investment opportunities that would be required for further developments and innovations to take place.

The new era of medicine is changing the way that medical professionals are responding to diseases, as well as the treatments that are fine-tuned to the individual. The numbers of specialists working in medical innovations are staggering, with over 140,000 biopharmaceutical researchers and scientists developing over 7,000 treatments worldwide, with 800 of those being developed for cancer treatment and 300 medicines being researched for their effectiveness against autoimmune diseases.

It is to further the endeavors of the current medical scene that PhRMA convened in the recent dialogue series.

As policymakers and stakeholders, scientists and other influential individuals come together, the medical horizon looks brighter than ever.
