21st Century Cures Act to accomplish goal
To celebrate, 21st Century outlined the five themes that are included in the legislation.
“We’re closing in on what’s truly a once-in-a-generation, transformational opportunity to change the way we treat disease,” Fred Upton (R-MI), chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, said.
The five themes featured include: “delivering hope, removing barriers to research collaboration, incorporating patient feedback into the drug development process, promoting personalized medicine and modernizing clinical trials.”
A breakdown of why #CuresNow is needed by patients and families throughout the U.S., according to 21st Century, can be found on energycommerce.house.gov.
